Why subscriptions exist
It's not because it costs that much.
A single phone lookup costs these companies a few cents to run. The reason they charge $15–$28/month is that most people forget to cancel. You look up one number, intend to cancel, and two months later you notice the charge on your statement.

Do you ever charge a monthly fee?
No. WHODIS has no subscription, no recurring billing, and no automatic renewals of any kind. We charge per lookup only.
What if you don't find anything on the number?
If we can't confidently identify the caller, no credit is charged. You only pay for solved results.
Do credits expire?
No. Pack20 credits ($10 for 20 lookups) stay in your account indefinitely. Use them whenever you need.
How is WHODIS different from the free options?
Free tools like Google or basic number checkers often return no useful information. WHODIS pulls from multiple real-time data sources — Twilio, NumVerify — to return actual caller identity when it exists. You pay $1 when we find it.
